Mr. Abusharar is licensed to practice law in Michigan and is a longstanding member of the Michigan State Bar, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
He began his legal education with an LL.B. from Alexandria University in Egypt. After immigrating to the United States, he earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Wayne State University and a Master of Criminal Justice (MCJ) from University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, MI. Michael S. Terry is an attorney in good standing with the State Bar of Nevada since January of
2009. Beginning in January of 2009, he was self-employed as a consumer protection attorney
(bankruptcy, mortgage fraud litigation) in Las Vegas, Nevada until May of 2015. In May of
2015 he relocated to Southern California and began to practice Immigration Law. In July of
2016, he was employed as an Asylum Officer at United States Citizenship and Immigration
Services until June of 2017. Thereafter, in September of 2018 he became an associate attorney at
La Liga Defensora/Matian Firm in downtown Los Angeles, California where he developed a
specialty of preparing and filing Petition(s) for Review to the 9 th Circuit Court of Appeals and
Motions to Reopen with the Los Angeles Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration
Appeals. In July of 2020, he became employed with the Law Offices of Abusharar &
Associates in Anaheim, California where he has concentrated in preparing and filing Writ of
Mandamus cases in the United States District Court for the Central District of California and
other the other District Courts within the state.
